bigtime in the jungle- john

Tonight is the big night for the Laughing. They get their second EP released in a very cool fashion- the cd sleeves will be painted live throughout the night on a giant wall mural by one of Austin’s best gig poster artists Bryan Keplesky. Magic Surprise is always technically spot on and full of drum machine joy. They play early- around 9pm. The Cari and Jason Band are up next at 10pm with their lo fi goodness. I have yet to see this vehicle for the duo but something about my love for Fancy Feast, Belaire, and Voxtrot tells me that this will be something good. Around 11 the Laughing will untangle a gaggle of cords and plug in their multitude of samplers to perform songs from their new Artifact Workshop release Jungle. Expect a shocking display of drumming, xylophoning and maybe a surprise guest or two. After the cds have dried, and folks pick their jaws up off the ground- the EP will be for sale for 3 bucks for you to relive the multimedia experience over and over again in confines of your house. Can’t make the show? Order the one of a kind cd HERE.
