Party Ends

SXSW is in full swing.

   Today- go hit up Gorilla vs. Booze at the Peacock to catch the Cool Kids and Cut Copy along with Austin’s White Denim (who along with Mothfight are up for local band eligible to gain the most buzz this year in my book.)

   Tonight is such a major night:  Okkervil River and Roky Erikson playing together at the Austin Music Awards and 3/4s of the founding members of the Upright Citizens Brigade are in town doing the world’s best improv.  This will be my first time to check out the  United States Art Authority, which I have heard nothing but good things about.  Opening up is the official PartyEnds favorite local nerd rap extraordinaire – TERP 2 IT.

   This is the tip of the iceberg in terms of what is going on this first day of sxsw – but nonetheless time to start getting PUMPED about tomorrow's Birds Barbershop Big Top Blowout on South Lamar!  I don’t want to give too much away, so here are some key words:
Bounce house.
Air brush art.
Scotch.
Clowns.
Annie Ray.
Dizzee Rascal.
Carnies.  
Boom.

   Also- count on this Saturday’s Four on the Floor show being off the chain.  It is in a REALLY cool space behind Parts & Labour on South Congress.
