Party Ends

   Thanks to all who came out in the Beauty Bar last night. This crudddy weather will be ALL gone come next week- you hear me god?! Out of towners- get ready to eat lots of MIGAS with me next week.  hmmm...  The Tunnels played a super shoegazy set complete with TWO tambourine players.  At any moment I expected Anton Newcombe from BJM to bust thru the room and either start slowly swaying back and forth or punch them all in the face (psst: because according to folklore- he is crazy.)  Ringo Deathstarr took the stage after that and as always managed to be mellow and spacey upfront and have a rocking rhythm section.  It’s a formula that works well and always makes for and enthralling show- although last night front man Elliott Frazier did not jump into the drums as in the past.  The Djing afterwards was a blast.   Markus with a K aptly scratched over everything that either he or StayGold threw out.  My favorite jam of the night was Granddaddy’s 'Stray Dog and the Chocolate Shake' a track from Sumday that I never thought would be bring so much happiness to the dance floor.

  Tomorrow night be sure to hit up the Mohawk for the KVRX local live CD/DVD release featuring live performances by PartyEnds favs: Brazos, Yellow Fever, Meryll and MORE. The tracklising for the new disk looks INSANLEY good including those playing the show (duh) and YACHT, Mothfight! Thee More Shallows, and Islands! Pick it up at the show for a cut rate!  

   Finally check out this radical looking party on Monday night complete with an open bar for two hours!  I love Flosstradamus and have always loved the Floukids blog- I am VERY much looking forward to seeing them dj and maybe- just maybe- hearing them talk in adorable French accents.  Have a good day and thanks for reading the site!
