We are busy folks. Between letting my shins heal from being kicked by Dr. Martins at the Vandals show, hearing about the amazing Ghostland UT horn section at their cd release, recovering from Astronautalis’ freestyle-heavy set at Beauty Bar Monday and weeping gently while thinking about how much time and money I have spent on They Might Be Giants in my lifetime (still- not enough) this has been a busy few days.
SXSW is right around the corner! Folks are renting out their spare rooms on craigslist, even the smallest pizza by the slice place is a new hot venue that some band from Williamsburg is going to play an all night rager at and vintage stores are stocking extra tiny leather jackets to make a fortune off Justice-mania.
In addition to our extravagant Birds Big Top Blowout show on Thursday March 13th we are also hosting an amazing rock and roll show on Saturday the 15th in the Parts & Labor parking lot on South Congress dubbed FOUR ON THE FLOOR. This year for PartyEnds: South Austin is the new Red River. Check out the information below and mark your little palm pilot calendars now.
BUT FOR TONIGHT- we have a small part in presenting a tight little show at Beuaty Bar featuring UME, Ringo Deathstarr and the dance party that follows featuring Markus with a K and StayGold. Thursdays are always off the hook there from about 12:30 till 2 so come out and enjoy a slice of pure Austin fun before corporations roll into town and giveaway free shoes to everyone except you.
