   Tonight at the Mohawk is an amazing little comedy show featuring standup from Michael Showalter and Michael Ian Black.  Both of these heads of the State have new solo albums out right now I have only heard Showalter’s Sandwiches and Cats and it is GREAT!   I am SO excited to witness Showalter’s comedy live!  Not because he is the MySpace comedian of the week, not because he's been blogging like crazy on his personal site where he's started a very interesting dialogue with Fred Thompson supporters nationwide… but because I have been wanting to be in the same room (or in front of an outdoor stage) with him since 1993.  I love how he spits while yelling at his son in the “race home” sketch.  I love how he combs his hair in the “hormones” sketch.  I love it all.  I cannot wait!  

   After their comedy extravaganza on the outside stage, don’t close that inside bar tab just yet! Stick around for the nerd rock of  Built By Snow followed by the nerd rap of Terp 2 It ! The after show is free if you are already there or 5 bucks otherwise.  Who knows….maybe you can rock out with 2/3rds of Stella!
