jesus grow a handlebar mustache for me- john

Last Thursday the Austin Beauty Bar was set afire by a wild pack of family dogs who performed under the name Pataphysics. The herky jerky dancey zolo rock sounds made feet tap and smiles grace faces. Set closer “Jesus Grow a Handlebar Mustache for Me” was an obvious highlight because as far as I am concerned it is the best song about a mustache out there. The only other competition is by the children’s novelty act the Telephone Company which Pataphysics frontman Patrick Healy and drummer Chef comprise. The men know good tunes about lip hair and possibly even social commentary. Pataphysics is a super group of Austin underground rock with all or most of the members having their fingers in other Business Deal Records projects..
La Snacks played all the jams and tighter than I had ever seen them with set highlight including “Emo Kind of Love” and a song about Jesse Jackson, which by the way- there are not NEARLY enough of these days.
Stay Gold was really fun as the young masses of Thursday night party going professionals danced blindly to every jam places in front of them. It was a blast!
Thanks to everyone who came out and had a good time!
