free sawdust and tie-john
The last Killers album I kept a tally sheet of how many times I heard/ read the words “Bruce,” “Springsteen” and “Boss” because it seemed to be all any reviewer could muster. I just went and found that scrap of paper in my desk, which has 8 marks on it. I must have given up at some point. Their latest release, Sawdust, is a collection of well produced B sides and rarities with a remix and alternate versions of the singles you know and love as well as a really cool opening track that has (my competition for Okkervil super fan of the year) Lou Reed on it!
Remember when the Killers were primarily known as a band with a keyboard in it? Well, they have matured and the synth is barely featured on this disk. In fact to make sure you know that they have developed- a few of the songs tinker with the concept of alcoholism and of course there are some excellent love-gone-wrong tracks. Just like the boss- damn it, i can't help it!
Sawdust is out in stores now so pick it up for the holidays for everyone from your little sister to your dad. Or- save a trip to best buy and WIN IT FROM PARTYENDS! All you have to do is email PartyEnds@gmail.com with “the Killers” in the subject line. Of course there is a catch- you ALSO WIN A COOL-ASS TIE (I never thought I would write that. But really- the tie is hand silk screened!) from a company called Cyberoptix has a line of ties that “tie in” (hahahahahha) to this contest with a “killer” theme. There is a Lizzie Borden tie, a guillotine tie, a tie with knives on it you get the idea. Impress your coworkers and your family with your firm grasp on fashion and irony on us. This contest ends Friday December 28th so hop to it. A winner will be chosen completely at random. Good Luck!

I have heard that this website is wonderful, but after visiting it I’ll disagree with most of the people, who think so. Yes, there is some fresh and interesting information but most of it looks unprsentable. There are so many ways to check information, haven’t you heard of it? After trying it several times I realized, that it’s not unique.
