So, Repeal Day is over. Whew. Dewar’s, the Alamo Ritz and Mugshots all pulled together a cohesive little themed night complete with complimentary scotch, silly Justin Timberlake hats and flapper-esq feather boas. It was a blast.
Tonight at Beauty Bar we are proud to help present the Fully Formed OCELOT. Ocelot is two guys on the iheartcomix label- one lives in Austin and the other in the UK. We have worked with the Austin half before for our Daft Punk movie screening and have seen him banging out dance jams recently at Fun Fun Fun Fest but never even really considered it a possibility to see the whole electro tamale- until now! This is a big deal folks. Typically, only the frenchies over at Fluokids and their brethren overseas get treated to sets like this but tonight in Austin you can too!
Our friends over at Finger on the Pulse in New York have already proclaimed Ocelot the best remixers of 2008 and have posted up about EVERYTHING they have out on the Internet. Snatch that shit all up HERE. Get it all in one tasty .zip folder.
Also playing tonight is the ever-talented Markus with a K, Denton’s prodigal son. Markus helped Ocelot tear up the Daft Punk mega set, so tonight I am sure you can expect to at least hear the hook from Stronger thrown in their somewhere.
