astronautalis and man fest are upon us- john

Tonight= the Mohawk.  Easily one of the most interesting bands in Austin- Transmography will perplex the crowd with how much sound they make and impress them as well with how mathematically well it is pulled off.  These two guys could not be a more impressive band playing a more distinctive type of music.  The Listener Project will uplift and entertain with the minimal technical instrumentation underneath the lyrics of a true neo-poet.  And they are from Arkansas, so as Matt Besser would say- Woo- Pig Sooie.

Finally, Astronautalis brings his glitchy electro beats with the earnest lyrics of a soulja boy with a broken heart of gold.  His albums are listenable time and time again but it is his live shows that assure me touring acts are still worth a damn.  To be an intimate part of a one of kind freestyle rap is a unique way to truly connect to a performer.  Astro shows are always a ‘you had to be there’ conversation waiting to happen.  The inside Mohawk stage tonight will be more fun than the Crank 2: High Voltage wrap party.

Tomorrow – it is all about MAN FEST.  You have know idea how cool this is going to be.  GOLDEN BEAR! Knife Throwing!  Arm Wrestling! OutWithMe taking party photos!  Annie Ray taking lumberjack portraits! Free DeWars Scotch!  Free SteamWorks manbrews!  Free Sweet Leaf Tea! Free Hot Dogs!  Free Veggie Dogs!  A Deep Fryer!  Martial Arts!  The Confideetes!  DJ Laser Donkey!  Good lord.  Wear your flannel.
