the laughing vs rappers- john (austin, tx)

Come on out and witness Austin music history- like if Stevie Ray Vaughn played with the Gheto Boys! Too extreme? Ok, how about come out this Saturday for an amazingly innovative and unique time- the likes of which Austin has not seen before! Come see the Laughing play a set then provide all new material for some of Austin’s best rappers to freestyle over. Now, wait one gosh darn second- stop thinking about Run DMC and Aerosmith- stop thinking about (gasp) Jay-Z and Linkin Park- this is going to be GOOD. So- sagging pants B-boy/girls and tight pants hipsters unite for an evening of reasonable pant sizes and have a Freestyle Wheat Beer while watching some amazing freestyles!
This is perhaps the most innovative Draft Sessions yet. We always come correct with the concert series held at the Independence Brewery that we work ever so hard on- pairing great Austin acts together with tons of beer and a cheap suggested donation for essentially what is an awesome warehouse party.
This is the Laughing like you have never seen them before. Gone are the white tiger themed outfits, they have been replaced with ironic polo shirts and face paint among other things. Gone is the fourth member and the remaining three have taken on more instrument tasks that sound surprisingly good. As for song subject matter- I have no idea what the new stuff is about yet- I will be listening closely this Saturday night though.
Storm Shadow was kind enough to play our Friday Fiasco SXSW day shows and made quite an impression. He and his hype men will be GREAT to see in front of a live band. I hear nothing but good things about Franco B and CO 2. These acts will fill the brewery with reverberations of improvised complete rawness. A huge thanks goes out to DJ Orion over at Raw Word Records for assembling such a trill lineup of MC's from Austin's busting scene.
This is not a show to miss. Five buck suggested donation for the performers and free local Independence beer. See you there!

You might have ruined everything by bringing up Jay-Z and Lincolin Park.
