you can't take it with you - john (austin,tx)

Money in the Afterlife is the new single from PartyEnds uber-favs Saturday Looks Good To Me,  a band that will forever be associated with Polyvinyl Records for me but is all the sudden releasing shit on K Records. Labels don’t mean much to most folks so I will shut up… How about I just tell you about how this song is a must download if you have ever cared about the band, thier ever in-flux evolution, or the genre of indie pop in general. That’s what you need to know. Money in the Afterlife is mellow and laid back with that classic SLGTM reverbtastic guitar tone, ebb and flow song structure arc and the new addition of electro-synths. Fred Thomas continually flags himself as a prolific motherfucker. The new full-length album Fill Up the Room is due out on September 11th 2007, but in the meantime you can spin this song on 7 inch for only 5 dollars here with the b side of a track called All the Sidewalk Birds. Just one more reason to look forward to September 11th. What? Too soon?
