yo adreon! raps - john (austin,tx)

My lame and tardy turnaround for show reviews is getting out-of-hand. Apologies. Four weekends ago the new Single Frame four-piece was unveiled at Outside Emo’s to a good size crowd. The band segued between news songs (only playing three previously recorded tracks) with ambient noise that I am sure the Lymbc Systm and Album Leaf fans enjoyed (and possibly understood ) more than me. When front-man Adreon Henry kicks in with off kilter lyrics and odd-time, complicated drum beats- the songs are officially in full swing of utter awesomeness.
I caught a few pictures of the set closer “Silvercrime Lining," which is from the "Everything Wants To Be Used For What It Was Made For" release MASHED LIVE with the first track from the Presets record. That’s right folks, a live SF/Presets mash-up where Adreon threw down some post-rap and delivered the outstanding energy that was analogous to the excellent SUPER!ALRIGHT! People Are Germs doc/art video.
On behalf of the greater internet music community- PartyEnds welcomes Single Frame back to life after their regrouping break with wide-open arms. They are still one of Austin’s most attention-grabbing live bands!
Check out a few more pictures from the night here and then look into some Single Frame on myspace!!!

Nice review. I saw SF at Mohawk this week and they tore it up (in 3D no less)! They only played one old song, and the new ones blew my friend and me away. I am anxiously awaiting the new album...it sounds so good already.
