mtv cribs - john (austin,tx)
This band called the Cribs from the UK is pretty good even though they are on Warner Brother Records. FYI- other good acts on this particular major label include: Built to Spill, the Futureheads and Rilo Kiley. If these boys play their cards right, in no time there will be an MTV Cribs: Cribs edition.
In terms of sound- think Franz Ferdinand with more snarkyness. FF member Alex Kapranos also just happened to clock in a producers credit on the disk. The title of the Cribs first album is kind of amazing: MEN'S NEEDS, WOMEN'S NEEDS, WHATEVER.

That is a brilliant album title, but isn't it a little sexist that the single is "men's needs"?
