patrick wolf parade/mother/like me... - john (austin,tx)

I am getting as obsessed with Patrick Wolf as Jake Gyllenhaal gets with the Zodiac Killer.  His new album (Wolf's not Gyllenhaal's), the Magic Position is astonishingly fun and remarkably good and hits stores May 1st. Songs range from updated Brain Eno compositions to… dare I say it?: Arcade Fire style instrumentation, with as many tinges of electronics as there are relaxing hails back to older David Gray.

Last time Mr. Wolf put out a record (Wind in the Wires) Pitchfork was so satisfied that they gave him an all too proper 8.2 review. Due to the popularity that consequently followed… homeboy got to tour with Bloc Party and yes, now even Arcade Fire. Discerning audiences worldwide will love his strings, love his voice, and love his ambition to wow them with complexity.

If I were really a good writer I would make an intricate cipher with some sort of clever ending to this positive rant, like the Zodiac Killer; and if I were you- I would go see Zodiac so you can know that you should be scared to death of getting murdered by a mental pedophile too.

'patrick wolfman jack' is a good subject too.

that song is really fucking good.

i dont hear david gray nor do i care to.

Have you seen the video of him performing with Charlotte Church?
Weird.

my grandmother really likes Charlotte church because of her operatic voice.. something tells me she wouldn't be into Patrick Wolf tho... but who knows.

Yeah, Charlotte Church's show seemed really lame, though. I didn't even know people did shows like that anymore. Wacky Europeans!

Good tune
