not so modest - luther (dallas,tx)

Wow, after two full days of being told over and over just how good to great this new Modest Mouse album is by everyone from Pitchfork to Borders, I still just don't know. I've been sitting with this new single Dashboard (man, there is some bad stigma there) for a while, it's been out nearly a month, and it's pretty descent. Though I've never been able to really get into MM so much, I have always wanted to. Maybe this will work out for me, it sounds just like all the other stuff by them I've heard in the past, though. In the wake of thier album topping the Billboard charts, If you havn't already heard this single, everywhere else, check it out here.

MP3: Modest Mouse - Dashboard

Get the new album We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank here, and your local Borders has about 8,000 copies right at the front, too.

Oh, and here is the video:

"dashboard" is a rad song and the video is inherently good because it has beards. but yeah dumbass- if you haven't liked modest mouse in the past what makes you think that their new stuff is going to change and make itself more appealing to you? they have been doing fine all these years with out you and you know what- without Boarders too! long live modest mouse! they are excellent! too freaking bad if you don't wreckonize! modest mouse rocks!
