radian-tion - luther
Last night, longtime coming local Dallas band Radiant* had their CD release party at the Granada Theater for their new full length We Hope You Win, and I think it was a hit. For such a large venue, everyone was pretty much packed in like a sardine can with a smoke machine as these guys finally showed just what paying your dues results in: a solid, entertaining, professional, and tight performance. Radiant* have been doing this a while, and it shows. Between the stellar light show, silly background projections, and the galvanized crowd, the night went off without a hitch, and, I think, set the stage for a band with a real shot at success in this crazy modern world of music biz-nas. Radio friendly and meticulous, listen for these guys first single off their new album (and their previously released EP The Sound of Splitting Atoms), Way You Make Me Feel. It's damn catchy.

The new CD seemed like it was selling like hotcakes at the show and that looks like, at this point, that's the only way to get it. So get to one of these upcoming show dates and buy one. Also, go be their myspace friend here and listen to the music. Before the band played last night, they also debuted the video for their new single, which you can watch on their myspace page as well.
Upcoming shows:
11.19 - Stubbs (austin record release show) / Austin, TX
11.25 - Eskimo Joes w/ Hero Factor / Stillwater, OK
12.05 - The Deli w/ Hero Factor / Norman, OK

The show was great, Radiant always puts on a good one. Plus Hero Factor and Hendrick rocked as well. Gotta get my Hendrick plug in there.
