long weekend - luther
Wow, when you take a three day weekend from work, you kind of expect, no matter how much stuff you have planned, that your gonna get some real good, all American R&R time, right? Damn, between our kick-ass, Free Vice screening, all the amenities, good food, and shopping that Austin has to offer, the shitty backed-up highway traffic, power drinking at the Cavern, the Munny show, and the sheer intensity of watching HBO's Big Love, I feel more drained than on a typical Thursday afternoon.

So, the Vice screening went remarkably well; with a strong turnout, we gave away a bunch of cool free shit (vice magazines, the Streets lighters, some DFA 1979 pins, you name it), ate some killer burgers, and drank way more alchohol than seems appropriate in a movie theater. The film was incredible, so much more socially conscious and informative than I would have expected, and everyone seemed to have a really good time. We would like to thank the sponsors, Vice, Alamo Draft House Cinemas, Austinist.com, Hi. Wines, and Waterloo Records, one more time for bringing such a great movie to the big screen with us. Go out and buy this movie, it's incredible; and if you live in Austin, go buy it at Waterloo.
Keep an eye out for more events from Party Ends. In Texas and beyond.
*Watch out for an in depth look at the Munny show, here in Dallas, tomorrow or Tuesday, aswell.*
