Where to begin covering the fun that was had at Beauty Bar Saturday night with Neiliyo, the Hood Internet and Car Stereo (Wars) ? It was a lot like this amazing animated .GIF to the right complete with with thundery sky, a sun rising (or is it setting?!) in the mountains and hot native american PDA. Neiliyo set the tone by playing in the crowd and bouncing around non stop for 30 min. There were two guys in front of me who were randomly there on army leave and I am not sure they had ever seen anything like it in their entire lives. At one point they picked up Neiliyo like he was a young Elian Gonzales when he decreed it it and later did “the worm” at his command. Of course, there is always the possibility that they were not necessarily the world’s biggest Neiliyo fans but rather just intoxicated on civilian adventure juice, but I like to believe the former.
The Hood Internet operated off one powerbook and one sampler and churned thru most of their hits like Girls Just Wanna Fix Up and Everyday I’m Ghosthustling. They traded 30-minute shifts with Car Stereo (wars) who was able to fit hundreds of samples in each oh his segments. For those of us who weren’t at the two sold out Ghostland Observatory shows down the street at Stubb’s, at least we got to hear the Hood Internet’s Pourin’ Up Vibrations which pits UGK and Mike Jones against GLO. We were very pleased to be a part of such a fun night and are very thankful to everyone who came out and gave the Beauty Bar your hard earned money.

Bird Peterson played Plush Saturday night also. We posted his new joint Shooked last week and less than 24 hours later another local superstar Prince Klassen already had the re-edit locked and loaded. That is quick service right there. Check out the remix now!

this is actually Pimp C (of UGK, but it’s from his solo album Pimpalation) featuring Slim Thug.

My mistake, once i let the song play through i realized it was Mike Jones. The original song features Slim Thug. And a Bun-B verse is on here too, so I guess technically it would be UGK
