I’m not saying Party Ends is on the Harlem Shake bandwagon, but I will say it’s the kind of flash in the pan entertainment that we love to hate. I find the reaction of neighborhood’s actual residents to the craze more entertaining than pretty much any of the videos I’ve seen, but this “remix” by the always transfixing (for whatever reason you may choose) Azealia Banks is worth checking out. The video is nothing special, a half-assed 5D shoot in a studio sound room, no doubt between sessions of actual work- who’d have thought she was so busy- and is more a vehicle for her crowbarred lyrics and dirty flow. The track, however, is Wednesday-tastic, in that it’s good enough to distract you for a few minutes during work.
