My dear Fun Fun Fun Fun Fest,
It has been a year since you you’ve given me the opportunity to praise you for the enjoyment that you so earnestly bring to my existence as well as to countless others. I will gladly avail myself of the present opportunity. I am not certain that I will have a chance to click publish on this cyber letter, but I will write a few lines anyhow and try and get it off before cannonball mortar flies thru my Civil War tent to let you know that I am among the living who just got word via pony express of the full lineup of this years festival taking place in a town called Austin. Oh, and I trust your neuralgia is better.
I have no time to give you the particulars of all of the other Civil War type things that are happening but I do have time to write and say “thank you.” Thank you for abolishing my wait and successfully releasing the full lineup of what looks to be the best year yet! I admit that I was quite sick for the days leading up to this release and now I am healed. I haven’t been this happy since we caught of all of those Civil War prisoners!
Bun B, Danny Brown, Octopus Project, De La Soul, Girl Talk, Santigold, Explosions in the sky, The Promise Ring, Why?, Cursive, Nouvelle Vague, REFUSED, Japandriods, Riverboat Gamblers, Braid, Eugene Mirman- these are all of my favorite things!
The whole lineup reads like poetry. I know so little of what is happening in the outside world, but I can tell from you that lineup everything is going to be alright and one day a movie called Gone With the Wind will come out.
The only misstep I can see is that someone named Kreayshawn is billed before Astronuatalis. I’m sure you regret this. I hope that it doesn’t cost us the nation.
