I love me a good pun, but this Friday’s show is so much more. The Midgetmen, Austin’s lovable drunk rockers, are celebrating the release of their 4th album – Loud Enough – and their 9th “Anniversorry” on May 20th at The Mohawk. Get it? Get it!
Not only is their new record designed awesomely, and the tunes contained within are the best the band has set to tape. Loud Enough is tight guitar licks get piled upon loose hi-hats resulting in boozy rock and roll tantrums the likes of which are rarely seen pulled off correctly. This isn’t pop-punk. This isn’t any annoying sub genre of punk. It is just fun and loud. Rock.
Not only does this show have all the winning, messy, alcoholic melodies from the new album Loud Enough (which you can stream in it’s entirety guilt-free HERE) but there are also a tons of other amazing Austin acts on the bill. Ch-ch-check it out:
1:00-12:00 The Midgetmen
10:00-10:45 La Snacks
09:00-09:45 San Saba County
01:00-01:45 The Sour Notes

Birds Barbershop and Nash Cook have teamed up for the most drunken photobooth in the history of history. And, thanks to the kind folks at Graham’s Texas Tea/Treaty Oak Rum, there shall be beverages…. The FREE kind! Feel free to RSVP on the facebooks so they can ice down the appropriate bottles of booze. Oh, and speaking of social media- the Midgetmen are on twitter @HERE.
