Happy Monday Morning!  Au Revoir Simone have had a new single for their track Another Likely Story out  since November of 09, truely a simpler time. The single  includes a handful of remixes from a handful of familer names. The two that particularly made the blog rounds were from the ‘so hot right now’ Aeroplane and Neon Indian. I just now heard the Social Disco send up of the song and despite being a little “housey” for my taste, I still enjoy all 7 minutes of it. Part of it might have to do with nostalgia for Underworld (no, not the movies with werewolves fighting vampires, but rather the band from Trainspotting…) Just like most remixes of these three ladies, their soothing voices can counteract any subgenre of music and somehow make a desirable yet simple hook.  Check this out over your cup of coffee/Kahlua.
