ManFest 3 was every bit as epic as you would imagine if you bring together booze, mystical half beasts, the six-time world jousting champion and a whole lot of post-dance-punk-proto-disco-rock cover songs from Austin’s top LCD Soundsystem tribute band All My Friends. And that dear reader, is epic. Thank to all of you that came out and partook, participated and partied in the ironic masculine paradise. It is always nice to dance in the same sectioned-off parking lot where jousts were banging against shields and handsome ladies were posing for pictures with even handsomer centaurs. When the stars align like, that you know you are into something good.
More professional and artistically capable pictures will certainly be hitting the internetz in the coming days, but in the meantime, check out this dope slideshow below or check them out on our flickr page HERE!
Here is a cover of the LCD SoundSystem track All My Friends from John Cale. The take on the music is great but I think it’s hard to take his singing very seriously. Maybe I’m missing something but- oh wait- I’ve just received a bulletin that due to his connections I’m not allowed to say anything negative about Mr.Cale. Carry on.
