Is it really time for another installment of the annual Team Fabrication no holds bar fashion and music event? Did they really pull off free vodka until it runs out? Yes and yes.

At this point I think it is safe to say that TF is an Austin institution right up there with Polvo’s and Backspin Records. The lineup for music this year solidifies this being a dependable evening of good times and merriment as the stage gets crammed to the brim with the equipment of ‘Til We’re Blue Or Destroy, Ovenbirds, The Laughing, The Happen-Ins and the only alternative karaoke troop this side of  the Okkervil River that matters to our freedom loving nation state: Karaoke Underground.

For those of you who keep up with style and what not (not me as a type in dirty jeans and a punk shirt from high school – but if I wore a blazer of it THEN maybe I could be chic…nah.. I’d still look like a jerk face) the event will have jewelry on display from Jessi Cornett. Of course, the main course of the night’s feast is the fashion designs from the two ladies who tirelessly work to put the whole shebang together year round: Elf Girl and Jen Rea who together form Team Fabrication.

Saturday night is a big one: there is also a fun Great Nostalgic show at the Ghost Room, Car Stereo (Wars) and Missions at the Beauty Bar and of course the highly anticipated CUSTODIAN album release over at Birds Barbershop on East 6th.  This last one is especially nice because it is from 5-9pm and you can pick up a free beer or two and a few copies of the new  CUSTODIAN album which comes packaged in janitorial soap boxes and then head out to seek out even more debauchery for your Saturday night.   Start planning now for next weekend and make sure that the CUSTODIAN release show at Birds is stop numero uno.
