The new Michael Moore movie Capitalism a Love Story is worth your money. It begins a tad unfocused as he lays the groundwork for the thesis but ends up hitting a few home runs. It elicits emotion, educates and if you see it in a theater full of “liberals,” it provides a few points for ovations. This is def worth your time.
Speaking of worth your time, over the weekend two new KILLER remixes dropped from Minneapolis’s #1 old school video game and filthy rap enthusiast Mike the 2600 King.
These first appeared on Yeeeah Buddy and have since been blasting from my living room as Monday morning inspiration along with strong coffee. The silly Miami bass of Gucci Crew II and caffeine starts the week off right. Likewise, the psychedelic Ultimate Spinach track with a backbeat behind it is surreally good. You don’t see a lot of producers taking 1967 Iron Butterfly-y song and sprucing it up. Normally if source material comes from that era at all it is inherently Motown and not a song that references ‘flower children.’ Don’t get me wrong- i love it when Mike 2600 goes down the Motown road- he is one of the best- it is just good to see him not pigeon-holing himself. Thanks Mike for the innovation and good tooons!

Why was Moore going head to head with Hannity on Fox last night at 11am? It was all
Hannity “Admit that you are a millionaire”
Moore “I own some property”
Hannity “Admit that you benefit from capitalism”
Moore “Capitalism has done some terrible things”
Hannity “You are rich because of capitalism”
Me: Moore is a great role model for kids. Slash and burn snap shot anecdotal examples in his work, but it’s thought provoking….
