Got a good fix on a killer show tomorrow night at the Mohawk featuring Experimental Dental School or “XDS” as the kids are calling ‘em these days at their “speakeasies” and “juke joints.”  XDS has been touring this great nation of ours behind their new record Forest Field which they are giving away FOR FREE (and legal) in it’s entirety on their website. XDS gets a lot of comparisons to Deerhoof because they are buddies and have previously toured together. Deerhoof seems to be a good buzzworthy and credible band name to drop about a band with a girl of Asian decent in it, but I find this record way more listenable.  It is less absurd and more straight up rocking.

The Portland duo will be gracing the wooden inside Mohawk stage with their manic hammer on riffs and mathy garage rock playing after El Paso Hot Button and Experimental Aircraft.  All this is Friday September 25th yo.
