There is a wonderful show that we put together at Beauty Bar tonight that you and your motley crew should most definitely be aware of. 10pm= waves of noise from low-fi duo Dirty Dancing, 11pm= conceptual post-post-ironic boom bap from CUSTODIAN , 12am=back and forth DJ booth jammz from Stay Gold until close. Cover is cheap at only 3 bucks until midnight then FREE! Some come early, be loud and stay late. Please don’t wear burnt orange.

Is it too late to share Wallpaper’s Pool Party? This blogospehre game is brutal.  If you don’t post about this junk the second before everyone else does you are obsolete.  Here I am two months later…. Oh well, I’m not ashamed to admit that i have no idea what new internet heartthrobs the XX sound like.  I will probably like them a lot in about a year.  Sigh.   Wallpaper is the name that you have seen next to Das Racist’s “Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell” for handling the remix duties.  The Das Racist track was everywhere this summer, including my car for everything even remotely considered a road trip this summer.  This includes a tropical excursion to Hutto.  This newer Pool Party track prominently features our bud Jacob Safari of the Mae Shi and who we helped put a show on a while back of with a side project of his called Bark Bark Bark. I know the  happy season we know as summer is practically over, but if you haven’t heard this track yet: shame on you for missing out on the lyric “I BBQ like a grown ass man.”  The song is self aware, completely silly and hooktastic.  It makes me want to master my ‘I am T-Pain’ iphone app more…
