Hey nerds – you going to Comic Con next week?  If so, be sure to pick up a limited edition copy of a concept record about zombie movies and romance by the star of the last season of Heroes, the upcoming Rob Zombie Halloween sequel and overall online badass Brea Grant.  She is recorded this pet project with Zane Grant under the moniker Zombii 2, an amazing reference to one of my all time favs because it features a zombie fighting a shark.  Motion picture magic I tell you what. The EP was recorded using open source software, the cheapest microphones available, and plenty of samples from the zombie classics.  Zombii 2 has created something great.  Judging from the “single” Night of the living dead 1968.  It sounds like a pretty simple and brilliant structure: telling a tale of a zombie movie set to sweet sweet boy/girl snyth pop.  Hard to argue with.

There are only about 50 hand numbered copies to go around and you can only get them from Brea’s signing table at comic-con.

Here are the rules of how to obtain one according to Brea:

“1) you have to ask about it

2) you have to trade us something. anything is fine – maybe it’s your own comic or your own album about your favorite zombie movies. maybe it’s a sharpie (those are helpful) or a cookie (we’re both lactose-intolerant, fyi). it’s up to you! (we do not trade for hugs or kisses or anything along those lines.)

Don’t forget to come to our signing at 4:30 on thursday at the IDW booth, where there will be professionally rendered posters by Ben Templesmith to show you we aren’t total street trash. ”
