TGIF yall. I found out some more info about the Nervous Curtains show tonight at Stubb’s.  The opener, Rayon Beach, used to be called ‘Caliban Goodbrain,’ but I guess they decided that name was too silly.  The band is the pet project of Tommy Sutherland who back in the day, used to rock out with the Free Radicals (not the New Radicals which is what I thought of first..)  The song below psychedelically fuses the Modern Lovers and Creation with plenty of reverb. It is great.

Followed by Static is two dudes from the now defunct iKiLLCaRS and not defunct The Koreans. It is bit more experimental and weird than their other projects for lack of bigger words. That being said there are still riffs, hooks and melodies.  They seem pretty proficient and will serve as an excellent headliner for the Stubb’s stage.  They have a debut 7inch coming out soon on Rare Dust Records and will be touring extensively behind that.

Nervous Curtains just finished their debut full-length album, which is due for Fall 09.
