If there is an excuse to link to something John Waters related, I am there. HERE the director advises Obama on issues such as gay marriage, capitalism, drinking and smoking.  Sadly there is no advice for Barack to grow a sweet pencil thin mustache. Watch the short video HERE.

What?  You want some actual music related content?  Ok, ok. La Blogotheque, who pioneered the trend of shooting video of bands in interesting places and putting it on the internet, has partnered with Current.com for a series of new “take away shows.” One of the most notable ones features one of my favorite silly named bands: the Dodos.  Here, the guys stumble around the streets of San Francisco and do a number of their flushed out acoustic-pop songs. The first features a stranger on the street who just so happens to be playing an accordion. Pretty cool.  Next up: they play on some public transportation, an escalator and it just keeps being awesome from there. The ambitious tracking the crew does with the wondering band is more invovled than any other take away show I have seen. It is ‘Goodfellas’ good.  Watch the video HERE.
