One of the best bands I saw at the ACL Festival a few years back was DeVotchka and what do you know they are coming back thru Austin this weekend?! Sunday Feb 8th the band will be bringing their sousaphones, accordions, and bouzoukis to La Zona Rosa in Austin!

I tend to hate most things with even the hint of ‘gyspy’ music associated with them but DeVotchka transcends that pesky genre and it’s not just because I was a sucker for their score for Little Miss Sunshine, it has to do with the interesting balance they achieve with good old fashion folk.  Opening up is Archers of Loaf alumni Crooked Fingers who is ALWAYS does a good live set.  Basically- this show looks great.  Grab a new DeVotchka track below….
